A tree and a bird show an adventure and eco-touring is conducted by an unidentified scenarios, but easily recognizable: the Atlantic Forest, the Amazon, the Cerrado and even in Brasilia (Brazil). This story is told by brazilian writer and playwright, José Carlos Aragão, in her new book, Tizin &Tiziu vs. The Blue Fly (São Paulo; Paulinas, 2010). The book is the first of a series starring Tizin &Tiziu, characters originally created for a comic, but which is now published as a juvenile novel, beautifully illustrated by Flavio Fargas. Already in the process of adaptation to the puppet theater, the book is also expected to stage in August, a spectacle directed by the author.
Without giving up his fictional character and adventure, the book is a pretext for discussing various environmental issues related to the country and the world as water and air pollution, the overgrowth of cities, deforestation, extinction of species, garbage disposal, etc.
However, according to the author, not intended to exhaust all the discussion about pressing environmental issues. Rather, "presents itself as an invitation to reflection on environmental problems, in a transversal approach that can align to current pedagogical parameters without replacing the playful and seductive adventure for a formal didacticism - and almost always tedious to children and young people." For Aragão, "the book serves both the specific interests of the educator - always in need of a suitable, unique and motivating for their students - as well as the expectations of the child for an engaging and entertaining narrative."
